After you've researched and applied for financial aid from grants, you should apply for scholarships to help pay your expenses. There are several "off-line" places you can check to find scholarships and fellowships too. Your school guidance counselor should be able to provide a list of grants and scholarships that you can apply for. You can also check with the financial aid offices of the colleges and universities that you are considering. They should be able to provide you with scholarship application forms. The internet is also a great place to find scholarships. You should also be wary of anyone that wants to charge you to find scholarships, or offers to "get" a scholarship for you. Be sure you know how to avoid scholarship scams.
After you've applied for Grants and scholarships, you may still have college expenses that you're not quite ready or able to pay for. Student Loans provide low interest rate loans that can often be paid back after your graduate. You may also consider a student job to generate extra money for college expenses or social and living expenses.
